Frequently asked questions

Ordering

Who can order?
Adults 21 or older who are qualified researchers, with a shipping address in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. You confirm this when you enter the site and again at checkout.
Do I need an account?
No. You can check out as a guest and follow your order with the order number and email address. An account keeps your orders and addresses in one place.
How do I pay?
You can pay by bank transfer against an invoice. With an invoice, place your order, then pay using the instructions on your order page and in your confirmation email. The order ships after the payment arrives; unpaid orders are cancelled after 7 days. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax is added where it applies.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, until we start picking it. Email support@eluteresearch.com with your order number. See the refunds policy .
Do you accept returns?
Not for a change of mind, because we cannot verify how material was stored after delivery. Damaged shipments reported within 14 days of delivery are reshipped or refunded.

Shipping

Where do orders ship from?
Orders ship from the United States, packed and shipped by our own team.
When will my order ship?
Orders ship after their payment is confirmed. The same-day dispatch cutoff and transit estimates are being finalized and will be published on the shipping page before ordering opens.
Which shipping options are there?
Shipping options and prices are being finalized. They will be listed on the shipping page before ordering opens.
Do you ship outside the United States?
No. We ship to the 50 states and the District of Columbia only.
Do orders ship cold?
The shipping temperature of each product is set from its supplier storage documentation. That documentation is still being reviewed, so no shipping temperature is published yet. Storage conditions appear on each product page once they are documented. See the shipping page .
What if my package is damaged or lost?
Report it on your order page, under Report a problem with this order: open the order with Track an order , the link in your order emails, or your account . You can also email support@eluteresearch.com with your order number. Report damage within 14 days of delivery, with photos. A package is treated as lost after 7 business days without carrier movement. Each order can be reshipped once.

Lots and certificates

What is a lot ID?
The identifier of the lot your vial comes from, such as USBPC26001, printed on your packing slip and shown with your order. It links your vial to a public lot page.
What does a lot page show?
The lot's status and, once the laboratory issues it and it is reviewed, the lot's certificate of analysis: results, a link to the laboratory's own verification page, our archived PDF and its SHA-256. Look up a lot .
What does a certificate cover?
A sample drawn from the lot. Each lot page says so in these words, with the lot's details filled in: A sample drawn from lot [lot ID] was tested by [laboratory] on [test date] (accession [accession number]). Results describe the tested sample as representative of the lot. Individual vials were not individually tested.
How can I check that a certificate is genuine?
Use the link on the lot page to open the laboratory's own record for that accession number. You can also download our archived PDF and compare its SHA-256 with the value shown on the lot page. Our checklist for any certificate of analysis lists what to look for.
How do I know a website or an email is really from you?
Our store, lot pages and certificates are only on eluteresearch.com, and every charge is in the checkout total: we never ask for an extra fee after an order is placed. See official channels .
What do the lot statuses mean?
Testing, released, on hold, rejected and recalled. Only released lots are sold. See how we test .
Can I buy from a lot that is still in testing?
No. A lot in testing may be shown on a product page as the next lot, but it is not for sale until it is released.

Research use

What does research use only mean?
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use or consumption. Not for diagnostic use. Not evaluated by the U.S. FDA.
Can you advise on using a product?
No. We publish identity information and lot documentation only, and we do not answer questions about use in people or animals. See the research use policy .
